A Level Art: Photography

This course requires students to develop practical and theoretical knowledge and understanding of: (a) relevant materials, processes, technologies and resources, (b) how ideas, feelings and meanings can be conveyed and interpreted in images using traditional wet processing and digital technology, (c) how images relate to the time and place in which they were made and to their social and cultural contexts, (d) a working visual/written vocabulary and specialist terminology. Students can work in one or more of the following areas of study; Portraiture, Landscape, Still-life, Documentary, Experimental, Photographic installation.
