Students will learn how computers and information systems work and how their components interact. There will be three units to make up the qualification, two of which are written papers. The final paper is a coursework project. Unit 1 focuses on processors, input output and storage devices, software and software development, exchange of data, data types, data structures, algorithm design and legal aspects of computer science. Unit 2 focuses on computational thinking, problem solving, programming, algorithms.
