UPDATED 20150928 11:05:49

This is a challenging course if you want to deepen your understanding of Design and Technology. It also provides an excellent opportunity for you to develop your own ideas pursuing design and making activities that are of personal interest, relevance and value. As at GCSE level, emphasis will continue to be placed on developing the skills and processes necessary to design and make products that can be tested and evaluated. Time will also be spent investigating and discussing relevant Design and Technology issues that affect all of us in today’s modern society. A greater awareness of how these social, moral and economic issues often influence how products are designed and manufactured will be an intrinsic part of this ‘A’ level course.
