Throughout your Psychology course you will develop: 1.Your ability to learn independently 2.Your ability to critically analyse and evaluate concepts and theories 3.Your ability to carry out practical investigations and analyse using statistics 4.Your understanding of scientific methodology and ethics Topics in AS will include: •Social Psychology: e.g. obedience & bystander behaviour •Developmental Psychology: e.g. psychosexual development and how children learn to think logically •Cognitive Psychology: e.g. eyewitness memory and language acquisition •Biological Psychology: e.g. how brain anatomy changes due to environmental demand •the relationship between sleep and dreaming and how the brain functions when the two hemispheres are disconnected
