The second year of the OCR Geology syllabus has involved the study of three modules. The environmental geology unit covers water supply, energy resources, metallic minerals and engineering geology. The Evolution of Life, Earth and Climate module covers fossil formation, key fossil types, evidence of evolution & mass extinctions, geological dating & evidence for past climate change. The third unit is a practical geological skills module incorporating field work carried out on a residential trip.
