Our Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) has proved to be popular with students and teachers alike. It provides an opportunity for students to extend their abilities beyond the A-level syllabus, stand out and prepare for university or their future career. It can also be used to earn extra UCAS points. The Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) is a standalone qualification designed to extend and develop your students' skills in independent research and project management. The EPQ is awarded UCAS points worth half an A-level and is recognised by universities and employers. The EPQ requires students to carry out research on a topic that they have chosen and is not covered by their other qualifications. They then use this research to produce a written report and, in the case of practical projects, an artefact or a production. A student can take inspiration from something studied in class or something completely unrelated to their studies.
