A2 Level Drama and Theatre Studies (Edexcel) Component 3 : Text in Performance Written Examination 40% of the A2 (externally assessed) The written examination will last two hours and thirty minutes with a series of questions on three performance texts: Sections A and B Open book: Clean copies (no annotation) of the two complete texts chosen can be taken into the examination. Two questions, based on two different texts, one written pre-1956 and one written post-1956.
