The BTEC in Health and Social Care is a vocationally related qualification equivalent to one or two A Levels which helps prepare students for employment in the health or social care sectors or for higher education. Students complete a number of mandatory units (communication, health & safety, equality and diversity, human lifespan, social and psychological perspectives in health) as well as a wide range of optional and specialist units. Students will also benefit from completing work experience in the sectors. The variety of modules enable students to focus on a sector of particular interest or relevance to them and to produce a personal and professional development portfolio.
