Spanish is proving increasingly popular, and deservedly so. It is one of the foremost world languages, spoken by some 400 million people. It is the main language not only of Spain but also of nearly all of the countries of Central and South America, and has become a major influence in the United States. Knowledge of Spanish gives access to a vibrant culture, which is incredibly rich and varied, and students gain far more than simply an ability to speak and write the language.
