French has the advantage of being useful throughout the world! It is the second most frequently taught language in the world after English. The International Organization of Francophonie has 56 member states and governments. Of these, 28 countries have French as an official language. A language A level is a very valuable addition to any CV and helps open doors to all sorts of careers, for example tourism, marketing, law and the civil service. Additionally success at this level of language shows linguistic ability and a capacity to be well-organised and disciplined. Universities look favourably on a good language A level in applications for all sorts of degree courses.
