This course provides the education and training required for people employed in hospital, community and industrial pharmacies. The Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Pharmacy Service Skills (QCF) is a competence testing qualification designed to assess the skills of students in relation to their role as a Pharmacy Technician. Areas of mandatory study include: * Provide an effective and responsive pharmacy service * Process pharmaceutical queries * Ensure your own actions reduces risks to health and safety * Reflect and develop your own practice * Receive prescriptions from individuals * Confirm prescription validity * Assemble prescribed items * Issue prescribed items * Prepare extemporaneous medicines for individual use * Order pharmaceutical stock * Receive pharmaceutical * Maintain pharmaceutical stock * Issue pharmaceutical stock * Undertake and in-process accuracy check of assembled prescribed items prior to a final check Optional units are chose in discussion with your Pharmacy Manager to ensure that the assessment criteria can be achieved.
