Designed for adult trainees and apprentices in the plumbing industry and for construction employees who are involved in building services and for people wishing to enter the plumbing industry. The course is both internally and externally assessed and is made up of a series of practical and written tasks. This will make up the underpinning knowledge for the trainee plumber. Obtaining this qualification allows anyone entering the plumbing profession who is not currently employed in a plumbing capacity to seek employment within the sector. To progress onto the NVQ you need to be employed within the industry. Learning is through classroom based and practical workshop activities. A variety of teaching and learning strategies are employed.
