AS Level Art Photography

You will be taught to make informed decisions about your own creative practice, in a culture of experimentation, exploration and critical reflection. You will learn how to use a broad range of photographic techniques influenced and inspired by the work of contemporary and traditional photographers and any other visual source. The photography tutors will expect you to investigate and question your own practice and to take imaginative and creative risks in the photographic work you produce. Each individual student will develop their own visual style influenced by the taught workshops. We will teach you about exposure, white balance, focus and how to apply these technical skills to different genres of photography such as –  Documentary  Still Life  Portraiture  Abstract Fine Art Photography  Light Drawing The skills you will develop will be wide and varied with a particular focus on visual and creative perception. You will be working in the art department in which we have a range of DSLR cameras, studio lighting and Adobe Photoshop.
