This is a stepping stone qualification which enables you to develop your functional skills in English at entry level 2. This qualification will support you to develop the skills you need to learn and work effectively, now and in the future. This qualification will also enable you to develop your understanding of how functional skills can help you to practically problem solve when completing activities of daily living or within the work place. You will be initially assessed by our team of functional skills tutors, who will ensure that before you start the qualification, you are working at the right level. This functional skills qualification will be delivered at your own pace and this qualification will run alongside your own non-accredited or accredited individualised programme, supporting you to achieve your personalised learning outcomes. Your tutor will ensure that you have developed and demonstrated the required skills in order to successfully achieve the qualification. When you are ready you will be formally assessed by completing an exam in this area. Following achievement of this qualification, the next progression route could include working towards an entry level 3 in English.
