Through contemporary topics such as health, the media, discrimination and other aspects of society, we aim to stimulate students' interest in both the language and the culture of the country. A wide variety of methods and resources are used and the department is well equipped with modern text and books, DVDs and CDs, as well as authentic sources such as magazines and the internet. A French Assistant is available to AS and A level students on a one to one basis, which helps develop oral skills and can also be an important source of information about the country and its culture.
