French

UPDATED 20161029 17:43:56

French builds upon the skills which you have developed during your GCSE course and will help you to develop confident, effective communication skills and a thorough understanding of the culture of countries and communities where French is spoken. You will have the opportunity to discover and enjoy French film and authentic and accessible French texts. You will also learn to use French in everyday conversation as well as formal discussion and debate. As part of this you will have the opportunity to go on our successful French exchange to beautiful Brittany where you will live in a family for a week. There is also often the possibility of undertaking work experience whilst in Brittany, which further enhances your language skills. Grammar also plays an important role as you learn to work with increasing accuracy and to decode and translate passages.
