This course offers: Students will be able to explore the War of the Roses and the various factional disputes in England before the coming of the Tutors - sex, death and toilets! Unit 2 provides an opportunity to investigate the French Revolution from the failings of King Louis Xv1 and Marie Antoinette to its bloody conclusion at the guillotine. Afterwards students will be able to assess the triumphs and failures of Napoleon culminating in his eventual defeat on the battlefield at Waterloo in 1815.
