Psychology is considered to be the scientific study of behaviour. The course requires the candidates to use scientific terminology to try and explain aspects of human behaviour. There is an emphasis on analytical, evaluative and critical thinking skills. Students study 4 units (2 at AS and a further 2 at A2). The A level topics include Biological Rhythms and Sleep, Eating behaviour, Relationships, Psychopathology, Psychology in action and Psychological research and scientific method.
