This course is for those who have a little experience of knitting and who want to take things further by following a pattern to make a simple project such as a toy, scarf or cushion cover. You may already have an idea for a project or prefer to make a decision after discussion with the tutor. The course will include: Knitting pattern abbreviations What knitting pattern instructions actually mean Advice on equipment, different wool types and their equivalents Different stitches for different purposes, both decorative and functional Choosing a project to meet your specific requirements and experience Information on relevant websites, books and both local and national events
