History is the study of past events, and its impact on our present and the future. Studying history at A level allows you to explore the way the world has developed and encourages close investigation and lively debate on a wide-range of topics; from cultural changes and political ideologies in early modern England to the shaping of the 20th century through a depth study that focuses on one 30-50 year international development that reverberated around the world. In addition to this students will also complete a personal study of on a topic of their choice in the second year.
