M10C08C: This 5 week course aims to provide an overview of the key themes that shaped the reign of Henry VIII and early modern England. It forms an introduction to the study of the sixteenth century in Britain and Europe. This course is aimed at those with an interest in finding out more about the background the early Tudor England. It is at an introductory level, so previous knowledge is not required, although a general understanding of the nature of society in the early sixteenth century would be useful.
