SILVERCRAFT - TASTER

B09C32F: The aim is to introduce you to some of the basic skills in silvercraft. You will be working with open flames, saws, hammers and a variety of other tools. The aim is for you to take home a small piece of jewellery by the end of the day. The course is for those who have either no knowledge of silvercraft, or a very limited knowledge that can be developed and encourage confidence in working with precious metals. Also for those with some prior experience that wish to re-gain confidence, or brush up on skills and techniques.

Name: SILVERCRAFT - TASTER Qualification title: Non regulated Community Learning provision, Crafts, Creative Arts and Design Qualification type: Assessment You will be asked to complete an Individual Learning Record (ILR) at the beginning of the course/workshop. The ILR is a way for you to identify your strengths, challenges and interests and set your own personal targets. This, in turn, will inform the tutor of your starting point and ensure you get the best out of your course. With your tutor you will revisit the ILR regularly so that progress and further actions can be discussed, agreed and recorded.
