A Level Physical Education - Do you have a keen interest in Physical Education and Sport and would like to study it as an academic subject? Do you want to develop your knowledge, skills and performance to a high standard in your chosen sport? Would you like to go to college or university and/or pursue a career in coaching, teaching, sports administration, leisure recreation management, sports physiotherapy or the health and fitness industry? If the answer to any of these questions is yes, then AS/A2 PE is for you. Why study Physical Education at A Level? A level Physical Education is a multi-disciplined course. It aims to: • enable students to know about, understand and analyse the major concepts and principles underlying sport and physical education. • develop an understanding of the physiological, psychological, social, cultural and historical factors that influence sport and physical education. • encourage the understanding of theoretical principles through practical performances.
