The Travel and Tourism industry continues to grow at a rapid pace. The last ten years have seen huge increases in the amount of travel undertaken by individuals for both leisure and business purposes. This rapid expansion has led to a huge demand for a flexibly skilled workforce. This BTEC National certificate is designed to provide an all-round introduction to the travel and tourism industry for those who may be interested in a career in one of its many connected occupational areas. These include careers in; retail travel, accommodation, visitor attractions, marketing, transport and tour operations.
