A Level Music - If you are passionate about music, are open to listening to and appreciating different musical styles and enjoy composing and performing, then Music is the subject for you. This is not a course for just the more advanced performer or those wishing to study Music at university; it will enable you to gain the skills and intelligence to flourish through a range of diverse activities, looking at culture and social issues throughout history via the medium of Music. Why study Music at A Level? The A level course in Music has been designed to enable you to experience a wide range of musical skills including performing, composing and analysing, as well as developing an understanding of historical and contextual uses of music. Both AS and A2 courses are regarded very highly by all institutions of higher education due to the range of competencies they develop and the contribution they make to the personal development of the individual.
