It is worth 100 marks and 37% of the total A Level. Unit 2 - Biological Diversity: This unit is assessed by means of a written examination paper, which lasts 2 hours 15 minutes. It is worth 100 marks and 37% of the total A Level. Unit 3 - Unified Biology: This unit is assessed by means of a written examination paper, which lasts 1 hour 30 minutes. It is worth 70 marks and 26% of the total A Level. Unit 4 - Practical Endorsement in Biology: Students will complete an individual assessment comprising of a series of practical work set over the course of the two years. Students will be assessed to demonstrate they meet the required skills; these skills may be assessed in questions posed in the Unit 1 and Unit 2 examination papers.
