What will I learn? In Year 12 students complete 3 mandatory (compulsory) units are: • Fundamentals of Science • Working in the Science Industry • Scientific Practical Techniques In Year 13 students complete 3 mandatory (compulsory) units are: • Perceptions of Science • Criminology • Forensic Evidence Collection and Analysis During the course students are expected to carry out practical investigations, make their own notes and research topics independently. How will I be assessed? Each Unit is assessed through a portfolio of work. What are the entry requirements? Must meet the standard BTEC entry requirements for the 6th form. Future opportunities Students may move on to Higher Education to follow the BTEC Level 3 Diploma or Extended Diploma in Science and/or follow a Science/Forensics related career.
