Chemistry is the study of substances, what they are made of, how they interact and what role they play in the environment and life around us. The course gives an foundation in chemistry with the study of atoms, molecules and the periodic table and an introduction into organic chemistry and the energetics of chemical reactions. Chemistry is a practical subject, and students will be trained in developing their practical skills through hands-on experiments within lessons. Students with a good foundation in maths will enjoy and benefit from this course.
