Students will create their own compositions from a brief and perform on an instrument of their choice. They will also study a variety of different styles of music developing their listening and appraisal skills. The music studied will include: Instrumental Music of Haydn, Mozart and Beethoven, Popular Song, Developments in Instrumental Jazz 1910 to the present day, Religious Music of the Baroque Period, Programme Music 1820-1910 and Innovations in Music 1900 to the present day.
