The one year Foundation Diploma in Art and Design provides the opportunities to build your skills and portfolio to a level enabling you to access higher education courses in art and design. First you will develop your skills in drawing, experimentation with media and making connections with other approaches. Then you’ll work within a chosen specialist area to develop a personal portfolio in one of the following areas: photography, fine art, textiles, fashion, illustration or graphics. Finally you’ll refine your skills through focused learning and independent studio time. The course culminates in a final project which builds upon the skills previously learned.
