This two year vocational course is equivalent to one full A Level. You will gain a broad understanding of many aspects of the social sciences and achieve a well-respected BTEC qualification in Health and Social Care. We have structured this course so that the emphasis is on the social sciences such as sociology, and psychology-related vocational areas such as social work and social issues such as equality and discrimination. Year one includes units such as effective communication, equality, diversity and rights, human development and health and safety. In year two you will study units such as applied sociology and psychology and independent study.
