These year-long courses enable you to develop basic skills in literacy and numeracy as well as gaining experience in a variety of study areas. You will have the opportunity to improve your academic and employability skills, as well as develop your confidence. All students will complete the core units focusing on career progression, healthy eating, IT and a teamwork project. You will study workskills including units in money matters, rights and responsibilities at work, an enterprise activity, a teamwork project and english and mathematics. The Intermediate Studies is a mix of Level 1 and Level 2 units and you will also undertake a project in sustainability and some voluntary work in a local community centre. Included in this part of the course is the Level 2 Certificate in Personal Development.
