If you are passionate about sport you could introduce a physical dimension to your studies and bring sporting theory to life with this active A Level. You will learn to understand and analyse the major concepts and principles underlying sport and physical education. This will include exploring movement, the effects of exercise and training, acquisition of skills, healthy lifestyle and barriers faced by minority groups. You will also look at elite preparation, training, contemporary issues within sport, psychological techniques and sports injuries. Units studied include: opportunities for and the effects of leading a healthy and active lifestyle and physiological and psychological factors which affect performance.
