Art (Fine Art) A Level

UPDATED 20161011 10:52:05

Studying A Level Art will provide you with the skills to reinvent yourself as a creative and very employable individual in a continually and rapidly changing world. You will develop your skills in painting, drawing, print-making, sculpture, mixed media and digital photography. You will work from observation and your own ideas to produce original artwork and learn to appreciate the work of both well-known and obscure artists by writing extended comments on their work. You will learn how to develop your own responses to a chosen theme through sketchbook work, which leads to larger scale painting. In your second year you develop your own theme for the personal investigation, an opportunity in creating work based on your own ideas. For your final examination project you will produce work for a theme set by the exam board.
