The course is designed to cover practical, theoretical and ethical aspects of animal management, providing the skills needed for a successful career or further study with a linked BSc Top-Up Degree in Animal Management. Practical skills will be developed at the awardwinning Taylor Hill Centre, which houses over 80 species, including a number of exotic species. Field trips and the option of overseas visits, for example African safari, will further improve skills development. Subjects over the two years include: - animal husbandry, including exotics, - animal health, including exotics, - ecology, - animal collections focusing on zoological organisations, - animal nutrition, - animal biology, and - animal behaviour. Related work experience will be encouraged with linked animal sector organisations
