This course has been specifically designed to prepare you to enter the beauty therapy sector as a stone therapy massage specialist. You will develop a sound knowledge of health and safety and client, client care and communication. You will also develop your knowledge and understanding of relevant anatomy, physiology and massage products. You will also develop a range of technical skills enabling you to prepare the body, use a stone heater and provide relaxing massage treatments using basalt stones and a variety of techniques. You will also develop interpersonal skills that will assist you to communicate effectively with clients. The beauty department at Boston College has 3 full equipped salons together with a reception area for all practical skills. Theory sessions will be taught in the resource area or various classrooms.
