This course is aimed at those who are working with adults across all social care settings and provides specialist routes for generic route, learning disabilities or dementia care route. The qualification provides a good working knowledge and understanding of basic care. It demonstrates your ability to perform a range of tasks with some guidance or supervision which is recognised by the regulating body care quality commission for health and social care. During the course you will be gathering evidence towards a portfolio which meets the standards of the qualifications. You will be expected to complete to written explanations, use work products and be observed within your job role. The qualification is made of up to 46 credits and units will be chosen to fulfil these.
