This course is designed to provide you with a variety of skills for the world's biggest industry, preparing you for satisfying and rewarding employment in the enormous range of occupations in Travel and Tourism. This course combines class work with opportunities to visit tourist attractions and other venues. You will study 11 vocational units and three functional skills during the year with time for additional studies. The BTEC Units are; The UK Travel and Tourism Sector - mandatory; Understanding Customer Services in Travel and Tourism - mandatory; Understanding the Nature and effects of World Travel - mandatory; UK Tourism Destinations; European Holiday Destinations; Exploring Marketing in Travel and Tourism; Organising a Travel and Tourism Study Visit; Developing Customer Service skills in Travel and Tourism; Worldwide Travel Destinations; Preparing for Employment in Travel and Tourism; Introduction to Cruise Operations. Additional studies include: NCFE Certificate for Resort Representatives Level 2; NCFE Award in Employability Skills Level 1; City and guilds Certificate in Meet and Greet Services Level 2; Functional Skills in Application of Number, ICT and Communication.
