A BTEC National Diploma is a practical, work-related course within the field of business. Students learn by completing projects and assignments that are based on realistic workplace situations, activities and demands. It may be attractive to students who are not confident when it comes to exams. It is not suitable for pupils who find it difficult to cope with coursework. Eighteen units will be completed over the two year course. An essential component of the course is a two week work experience where students can see at first hand many of the practical applications of work done in class.
