This is a one year course that you can take in order to prepare you for full time employment or an Advanced course. The course is equivalent to 4 GCSEs at grade A*-C. It can be combined with re-taking English and Maths if necessary. You will develop your knowledge and understanding of: • The importance of businesses • Customer service in different businesses • The financial aspects of running a business • Your own personal finance • Business communication, training and employment • People in organisations • Exploring business enterprise This course is assessed by several units of coursework, which is marked by the teacher and moderated by the exam board. There are 2 units that are assessed by exam board examinations. You will be awarded an overall grade for your total achievement. This will be Pass, Merit or Distinction.
