A Level Drama and Theatre Studies The Drama and Theatre course focuses on challenging students in a range of different dramatic genres and styles, exploring contemporary work as well as classical texts. Students will have the opportunity to engage in numerous practical exercises, including directing and large scale performance work, but will also learn how to analyse live performance and discuss the impact it has on our culture. The A-level is designed to strike a balance between practical performance work and theoretical understanding, as both an individual and as a member of a theatrical ensemble. The A-level Drama and Theatre experience provides students with extensive opportunities to develop com their communication and social skills as well as their subject specific skills.
