Applied Science is an A level for students who enjoy being in the lab, but do not wish to study separate science A levels. It is all about science in the workplace and how science affects our day-to-day lives and has a balance of coursework and exam units. In Applied Science, we like to get out and about and have visited zoos, breweries and research labs to date! We also invite a variety of speakers to our lessons, including Covance, Mind and Harrogate Hospital. "It's Science for the hands on scientist! Love practical science? Want a well-regarded, vocational A level? Applied Science is the perfect blend of laboratory work and real-life content, with a bit of blood and guts thrown in for good measure!
