The A-Level Maths course provides students with the chance to explore new and more sophisticated mathematical concepts. Students will have to interpret and familiarise themselves with numerical methods, differentiation and more advanced geometrical properties. The full A-level consists of Pure Mathematics, Statistics and Mechanics which are all assessed at the end of the 2 years. Students sitting the AS level will be only be assessed on a smaller part of the same content. By the end of the course all learners will be able to apply their knowledge and understanding to more diverse concepts and will be able to demonstrate greater fluidity in their choices of method when answering a problem. They are expected to attend all lesson, complete homework tasks when set and make sure they buy the necessary resources such as textbooks. This course is useful for students looking for a career in engineering, finance, accountancy and medicine.
