Name: Music Advanced Level Qualification title: AQA Music Advanced Level Qualification type: GCE A/AS Level or equivalent Assessment Students will be assessed for this qualification through controlled assessment and terminal written examination as follows: Component 1 Appraising Music - exam paper with listening and written questions using excerpts of music. Weighting - 40% of total advanced level marks. Component 2 - Performance - Assessed through solo and/or ensemble performing as an instrumentalist, or vocalist and/or music production (via technology). Weighting - 35% of total advanced level marks.
