Health and Social Care (H&SC) combines elements of many different school subjects including; sociology, biology, psychology, law and citizenship. The course links to many different sectors of industry where you could make a difference in someone’s life e.g. early childcare, people with disabilities, speech and language therapy or older people.You will be taught formally about theoretical aspects of the course but will also be expected to individually investigate, carry out assignments and apply knowledge to assignments meeting clearly designated deadlines. Assignments are graded on a Pass, Merit, Distinction and Distinction* scale.
