The course encourages a wide view of Technology, enabling students to design and make products in a large range of materials. Product design is studied in the context of both the designer and manufacturer, taking into account the processes of marketing. The overall aim is to encourage independent learning, creativity and innovation, reflecting the broadening demands of business and industry.

This will largely involve individual tuition and guidance. During the latter part of the course, all contact time and homework will be allocated for the detailed study necessary for examination preparation.
