The course aims to build on the language foundations set in place by the study of GCSE French. Pupils will gain a much deeper understanding of how the language works, building their ability to use it for speaking and listening, and reading and writing purposes. Pupils will study the following topics: Aspects of French-speaking society: current trends, Aspects of French-speaking society: current issues, Artistic culture in the French-speaking world, Aspects of political life in the French-speaking world and Grammar, plus one text and one film or two texts from the list set in the specification.
