There has never been more interest in Economics than now when we are dealing with the aftermath of a major recession following the ‘credit crunch’. Everyone is affected by economics, yet few people really know what it is or understand it. This course gives you the opportunity to find out about the issues which shape all our lives today. Over the course of the A Level, you will study four units. • Introductions to markets and market failure • The UK economy – performance and policies • Business behaviour and the labour market • A global perspective This course is assessed by examined units that are marked by the exam board.
