GCE A LEVEL in D & T - Graphic Design

The course will involve practical and folder-based work focusing on Advertising, Packaging Design, Design for print, Illustration, Animation and Communication graphics. You will study both contemporary and traditional design techniques whilst exploring a range of media; learning about a variety of design styles, genres and traditions based around both European and non-European examples. Learning will be based around a series of mini-projects to demonstrate the application of your knowledge and understanding before completing an end of year practical exam given by the exam board. You will be assessed using the exam board criteria, a copy of which will be given to you. All coursework will be marked by your teachers and then moderated by the exam board. There are no written exams.
