Art and Design

UPDATED 20161102 12:06:48

The A Level in Art and Design builds on the skills students acquire during the GCSE Art and Design course. Students develop a range of 2D and 3D outcomes using a number of different materials. Students studying Art and Design will be creative and ambitious and will be forced to work in a variety of materials and often on a large scale. A Level work forms a key part of our annual Town Mill show and is prominent throughout the school. Students who complete the full A Level can apply for places on foundation courses, or if taken in conjunction with another art subject, could apply direct to university on fine art, illustration, ceramic or 3D design courses.
